Description and Location

This Villa is a beautiful 18th century villa wich is located in the panoramic hills just 5 kms from the medioeval town of Lucca. The adjacent countryside features grand villas, wineries and golfing. 

The Villa has been the home of the family for more than five generations and is furnished to a high standard, with many family antiques. There are several sitting rooms to relax in a particular favorite of guests is the one situated on the ground floor as this remains pleasantly cool during the hot summer months and leads to the garden via French door.

The villa is surrounded by an attractive garden with swimming pool, bar area and alfresco dining facilities.

Another attractive feature of the house is the surrounding garden, with plenty of shady areas, well equiped with outdoor furniture and ideal for dining outdoors.

The beautiful Chapel situated in the grounds of the villa is also 18th century and is an exact replica of the Chapel of 'Madonna di Loreto' especially important since the original was destroyed by fire.

The Villa provides comfortable accommodation for 8 to 10 people.

Ground Floor - Entrance Hall, Kitchen, Breakfast room, Formal dining room, Cloakroom, Sitting room with fire place and french doors leading to garden.

First Floor - Grande Salone with French doors leading onto front staircase wich descend to the garden, Master bedroom with four poster bed and ensuite bathroom with bath and separate shower, Double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower.

Second Floor - Sitting room, Double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and two twin Bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms.

All bathrooms are tiled and have modern fixtures.

To the front of the villa the garden is on two levels the lower level originally the water reservoir now accomodates the swimming pool with its own area with fridge, ice machine and HiFi. 

The garden is an extraordinary example of Mediterranean elegance: palms and cedars mixed with potted citrus trees and flowering plants.

The upper level has alfresco dining facilities and barbeque area.

Attractions and Activities

The villa is 20 km from the beaches of Viareggio, about half an hour from a ski resort in the mountains to the north, and an hour to the Cinqueterre and the Carrara marble quarries. Florence (1 hour) and Pisa (1/2 hour) are accessible by car or by rail from Lucca, making this Villa perfectly situated for day trips.
